Medianoches Sliders

Medianoches are Cubans on a sweet roll, so it just made sense.

Hawaiian Rolls- the perfect medium for almost any slider

Thin Sliced Mojo Pork - shameless plug: recipe linked here

Spiral Sliced or Deli Sliced Ham- doesn’t have to be fancy, just thin

Mustard- a good yellow mustard is the best for this. Looking for

Pickle Chips- dill is traditional, but there the sweetness of bread and butter ties everything together

Swiss Cheese- no reason to mess with tradition here

Butter- for toasting

1. Slice the whole tray of Hawaiian rolls horizontally. Try and keep them from separating.

2. Sear off the ham and pork, and put the bottom buns on a parchment lined baking sheet.

3. Spread a thin layer of mustard on the bottom of a slider bun, layer with pickles, pork, ham, and swiss cheese and place the top bun on

4. Brush the top bun with butter, add a layer of parchment on top. Top the whole thing with a cookie sheet and press firmly.

5. Place the whole double cookie sheet contraption into a 350F oven and put something heavy (like a Dutch Oven) on top to create that planch effect.

6. Bake until golden brown on top, warmed through, and the cheese is melty, cut the sliders apart, and enjoy.
